Eggs-ceptional Giveaway!
Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 12:01AM | Taneasha
You, yes you, could be the proud owner of this cute little spatula! Not only is it adorable and fun, but being extra thin and having holes to prevent sticking, it's the perfect tool for flipping eggs too. All you have to do is answer one easy question.
What is your favorite breakfast food?
Winner will be picked at random and announced Thursday evening. Eligible comments must be made before I wake up Thursday morning. Be sure to enter your email address so I can contact you if you win.

I love the expression on the egg's face. He really wants to be happy, but dude, that's George in the pan!
lol
I know I'm not eligible, but srsly, something would be amiss if I didn't respond to a question about breakfast food with:
Bacon!!
Breakfast anytime!
Hmm, my favourite breakfast food would be belgian waffles, but my most common breakfast food is bacon n' eggs.
Being a person that works nights "breakfast" is sometimes unorthodox for me. There are many days that I cook dinner for my husband and children as soon as I wake up. Or in a wonderful twist, my husband is cooking when I wake up. Meatloaf, spaghetti, pork chops, fried chicken, I've eaten them all when I first wake up.
But, on an off day, after I get the kids off to school, I cook what I want. A skillet full of my favorite foods. Last year in an effort to lose weight, I came up with this gem. I get a full plate of delicious food for about 300 calories.
2 slices of bacon diced (it always seems like more than just 2 slices that way)
Handful of sliced mushrooms
Green onions
Spinach(OMG, I love spinach)
1 whole egg and 2 egg whites, beaten.
1 oz of shredded Reduced fat Monterey Jack cheese(whatever you have on hand)
Render down the bacon, add the mushrooms and onions. Let them get a little color before adding the spinach. Wilt down all the spinach then pour the eggs in and scramble them. Throw the cheese in a few seconds before you take it off the heat.
I can add a slice of low carb bread toasted with a pat of butter and still come in at 350 calories.
It is a win-win in my book. Delicious and not completely horrible for you.
I hate it when eggs stick to my spatula. Actually, I hate eggs in general but the rest of my household likes them. And who doesn't like a utensil with a face :)
Pancakes with fresh peaches and chantilly cream, acquired July-August at Bayside Skillet in Ocean City, MD.
Hell, just give me the peaches and the chantilly cream.
But...sigh. It's the middle of winter. So I'm heading to the kitchen for a spinach, canadian bacon and swiss omelet.
Favorite breakfast food? Bacon. When it's cooked so it's nice and crisp. You know, so it doesn't flop when you pick it up. Needs to be crunchy, but not burnt. Yeah. Sigh. Guess I'll go finish my shredded wheat now.
My favorite breakfast food...hmmm...
I have to go with over easy eggs and toast. With bacon, if I have it - but not too crispy, I much prefer my bacon a little softer and chewier. So good!
Grits
Locate your small (2 qt or 1.5 qt) slow cooker
Dump in:
1/2 cup grits (not the quick kind)
2 cups water
salt and pepper
Stir.
Cook on low all night.
In the morning, add butter and shredded cheese if you like, or just eat.
This is actually a hard question. Besides Bloody Mary's and leftover Chinese food ;) I guess it's whole wheat and oat flour pancakes with almonds and dried cherries. Yum!
Oh, my favorite breakfast food of all would be french toast. In French, they call it golden bread!
Sometimes a little fresh squeezed orange juice is good on the side.
I like home made museli with fresh blueberries and thick greek yoghurt. It's always a perfect start to my day.
1. Eggs fried over easy with hot buttered toast and grits with butter
2. Gazpacho
3. Grilled ham 'n' cheese sandwich
Breakfast always tastes better at 2 AM.
Now I'm hungry.
I can tell this is going to be a fun blog! I like the pictures. I have another blog that I post my creative stuff, feel free to check it out www.apinchofcreativity.blogspot.com I am working on a recipe boo (I am a scrapbooker) and I realized that I have so many recipes for baking, but when it comes to cooking I rarely use a recipe. Now I have to take the time when I cook things I want to put in my cookbook, to write out an actual recipe, and that is hard.
My favorite breakfast item, it pancakes! Oatmeal banana!
Eggs benedict. Race you to the cardiac ward!
